Research Activities:

• Currently working in the areas of transformational leadership, value systems of individuals in organizations, and Indian philosophy.

• Guided 5 Doctoral theses and 80 Masters’ theses, and currently guiding 2 Doctoral theses.

• List of publications (with full text) and papers presented at conferences.

Other Responsibilities:

• Member of the Education Panel of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Tamil Nadu State Council.

• Editor of Great Lakes Herald and member of editorial board of (1) Leadership & Organization Development Journal, and
  (2) Electronic Journal of Business Ethics and Organization Studies.

• Chair of "Management, Spirituality, & Religion" Division, Indian Academy of Management.

• Organizing the annual Yale-Great Lakes International Research Conference, at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, during December.

• Teaching MBA courses --
  (1) Leadership Experiential Project: Karma-Yoga,
  (2) Leadership, Influence, and Power, and
  (3) Upanishads and Transformational Leadership.

• 1991-1996: Temple University, Philadelphia -- Ph.D. (Business Administration); specialization in organizational behavior; doctoral thesis on transformational leadership.

• Vivekananda College, Chennai: B.Sc. (Mathematics).

Past work experience:

• 1996-2006: Professor (Organizational Behavior), XLRI Jamshedpur, India. Taught MBA courses -- (1) Leadership, Influence and Power, (2) Indian Philosophy for Leadership Excellence, (3) Impression Management, (4) Group Dynamics, and (5) Individual Behavior in Organizations.
